BCHS Students Tour Delta

On Wednesday, October 23rd Butler County School District teamed up with Delta Faucet Company to provide an opportunity for students to tour the facility and see first hand the work that is taking place there.  Students from Butler County Learning Center, Butler County High School, and Butler County Area Technology were in attendance that day. Melanie Givens, Blair Timmons and Ryan Pohl shared information with students about their career paths at Delta as well as potential career opportunities.  Butler County Chamber members Deana Embry and Jesse Greathouse also attended the tour with the group.

"We have great industries and businesses in Butler County.  It is very important that the Butler County School System continue to build our current partnerships and create new partnerships with each of them.  We must look for every opportunity and take full advantage to maximize the potential of each student to develop the best workforce possible. We know that to compete for jobs in the 21st century and thrive in a global economy, we need a growing, skilled, and educated workforce.  This is especially true in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. Students having the chance to tour a company like our very own DELTA has a major impact and leads them to becoming Life-Ready.

I can never thank DELTA enough for everything they have done and continue to do for the Butler County School District.  I look forward to reaching out to our other fantastic companies to arrange future visits."
