BCHS Students Receive Several FCCLA Awards at State Convention

Entire BCHS Student Delegation

Thirty-three members and two advisors from Butler County High School attended The Kentucky Association of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America's 71st Annual State Leadership Conference on March 29-31 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY. Schools from all regions in Kentucky attended, with a total of over 820 members in attendance. KY FCCLA State Convention's theme was "Kentucky FCCLA TODAY."

Members participated in a variety of sessions and also competed in state competition.

Mikayla Iler was honored for earning her Power of One, a national FCCLA degree.

Haley Ford was included in a "signing ceremony" with WKU in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences Education as part of the "I said Yes to FCS" initiative.


Lauren Tyree was elected as State Vice President of Parliamentary Law.

2nd place STAR Events winners:

Environmental Ambassador:  Connor Brown, Hannah McClelland, Jonathan McGranahan

All 1st and 2nd place winners are eligible to represent BCHS in competition this summer in San Diego.

The chapter also earned Gold Honor Roll recognition this year as the result of various community and leadership projects.
