BCHS students honored at Stock Market Game Awards Banquet

LOUISVILLE, KY 4/19/2012 - Butler County High School students and their teacher, Brandon Embry were honored on Thursday, April 19, in Louisville at the Pendennis Club for placing first in the State in the Economics Challenge. The Kentucky Council on Economic Education Stock Market Game Awards banquet was hosted by Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis-Louisville Branch.

The winning team members are, Abby Mencl, Emily Rich, Brittney Gruber, and Matthew Embry. During the Spring semester these students competed in the National Economics Challenge. The students received certificates, t-shirts, and a Bull/Bear school trophy.

These students went on to compete at the National level placing 25th in the nation out of 5,700 students from 33 states.
