BCHS Softball hosts skills camp for young players

The Butler County High School softball team held its annual skills camp June 14-16 at the high school softball field.  The camp was for players ages 7-12 and it focused on softball fundamentals.  Specific instruction focused on throwing, baserunning, ground balls, fly balls, and hitting with daily stations that broke down basic mechanics.  


The following players attended the camp: Aubree Crank, Brielle Belcher, Jessalyn Johnson, Adeline Burden, Caroline Givens, Paisley Johnson, Kaley Stevens, Shelby McDaniel, Ava Coots, Callyn Smith, Marley Phelps, Gracyn Amos, Jenna Tomes, Carly Cardwell, Caroline Johnson, Eliza Lynch, Audrey Green, Ava Embry, Kaylee Dreise, Abigail Dreise, Paige Hudnall, Scarlett Fuller, Jayden Kirby, Taelynn Rothe, Harper Hack, Kinsley T., and Nora Lindsey.  


BCHS Softball players served as coaches during the three-day camp.  Assisting were Aubrey Clark, Conley Moore, Olivia Austin, MacKenzie Coleman, Skylar Schroeder, Cheani Schroeder, Mia Thomas, Lydia Brown, Jaycee Crank, and Addison Miller.


Coaches John Embry, Amy Rogers, and Jesse Miller organized the camp.
