Hunt leads Butler County over Todd County Central, 5-3
 
ELKTON - Senior pitcher Aliceson Hunt led visiting Butler County over Todd County Central 5-3 in a high school softball game on Monday, May 10.
Hunt earned the win in the circle for the Bears. The right-hander surrendered three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero.
Abigail McPherson took the pitching loss for Todd County Central. McPherson allowed five runs on eight hits while recording seven strikeouts over seven innings. 
The Bears outhit Todd County Central 8-6 and overcame three errors. 
Hunt went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Butler County's offensive attack. She drilled three doubles and drove in one run.
Contributing at the plate for Butler County, Aleace Hall delivered two RBIs.
Hall, Carley Jones, Madison Clark and Aubrey Clark added one hit apiece for the Bears. 
Samantha Case led Todd County Central at the plate, providing two hits in four at-bats.
Defensively, Todd County Central committed two errors in its short effort. 




Bears roll past McLean County in five innings, 17-1 
 
CALHOUN - Butler County upended homestanding McLean County in a high school softball game on Friday, May 7, winning 17-7 in five innings.
The Bears scored first and never trailed. Butler County led 15-1 at the conclusion of the fourth inning. 
Aliceson Hunt earned the win in the circle for the Bears, pitching a one-hitter. Hunt pitched four innings, allowing one run on one hit while recording eight strikeouts and giving up one walk. 
Taylor Galloway took the pitching loss for McLean County. Galloway allowed 17 runs on 20 hits over five innings, striking out one and walking zero.
The Bears outhit McLean County 20-1 and made only one mistake in the field.
Hunt, Autumn Proctor, Carley Jones, Olivia Austin, Aleace Hall, Isabella Akers and Aubrey Clark each collected multiple hits for the Bears. Proctor led Butler County at the plate, finishing 4-for-4. 
Both Proctor and Jones tallied three RBIs for the Bears. 
Galloway went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead McLean County's limited offensive effort. 

Defensively, McLean County committed three errors. 

Butler County and McLean County are longtime Third Region rivals.
