BCHS Soccer team wraps season

The Butler County Lady Bears Soccer team finished their long and challenging season with a stinging loss to the Meade County girls' team in the first round of the district tournament. They fought hard and left everything on the Breckinridge County soccer field. To say they were disappointed would be an understatement. This year’s group of girls was made up of so many different personalities, attitudes, and skills, but in the end they all had one mind-set. TEAM. With the season that transpired many would waiver and fall away, and maybe even quit. This group of players did not. They continued to bond and get better day by day, and game by game. Although they fell short, their coach gladly calls them winners and is proud of them for their gained confidence and skill throughout the season.

When asked by fans and people in the city of Morgantown, “What can we do to help?” The response is, “of course we can always use monetary donations, but money cannot begin to have the impact of coming to games and showing support.”

We close the 2016 Lady Bears Soccer season, proud of our Lady Bears for the things they’ve achieved on the field, but most of all for the amazing young ladies and students they have become off the field. Until next season.
