BCHS Science Teachers leaders at STEM-Festival

On Wednesday, April 14th Jennifer Davis, Madison Staton, Kayla Spurgeon, and Emily McAfee (Butler County High School science teachers) led a STEM education training session at the event, “STEM-Festival”, which involved regional educators hosted at the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative in Bowling Green, KY. The Butler County High School science teachers participate in the STEM-CS grant that was awarded to GRREC in 2019 by the U.S. Department of Education’s EIR program. Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Staton are graduates of the STEM Leadership Endeavor program of the U.S. Satellite Laboratory in partnership with Columbia University and NASA. At GRREC’s annual “STEM-Festival” event, attending educators receive professional learning from various sessions led by regional STEM educators.
