BCHS Golf season going strong

The BCHS Boys Golf team completed their 3rd invitational tournament of the season on Saturday, September 14.  The Glasgow Scotties hosted the event at Willow Oaks Country Club. Andrew Gill (#1 golfer) posted the low score for the team with an 85. Jonah Swift was closely behind with an 87, followed by Adam Rogers with 109 and Zac Johnson with 112. The team score was 393.

The team is young but has two returning top five players, Jonah Swift and Andrew Gill, who are great assets to the team. The team has only one junior - Zac Johnson; three sophomores - Drew Daugherty, Jared Hudnall, Adam Rogers; two freshman - Andrew Gill & Brady Jones; two-8th graders - Jonah Swift & Tyler Skipworth; and one 7th grader - Duncan Tyree. The team also has three 6th graders - Maddox Moore, Curtis Murphy, Tyler Dunn; and one 5th grader - Bryson Goodall, who practice and play home matches with the team. 

Currently the team is 5-5 in regular match play with wins over Trinity (3), Todd County  Central (1), and Hancock (1). Low scorers on the season have came from Andrew Gill with 41 at Trinity, Drew Daugherty with 42 at home against Todd, Jonah Swift with an impressive 39 at home with Trinity, Zac Johnson with 42 at Todd, and Adam Rogers with 48 at Breckinridge.

In tournament play, Jonah Swift has led the team with an 88 at Owensboro Country Club. Andrew Gill led the team at Windward Heights with 92 & 85 at Willow Oaks Country Club. The top five will travel to Owensboro Country Club on Tuesday, 

 

October 1 to complete in the 2nd District Regional Tournament.
