The Butler County High School Girls Soccer team honored their seniors prior to their Thursday night game.

Bailey Moore is the daughter of Kyle and Kim Moore of Morgantown.

Larkin O'Connell is the daughter of Brandy O'Connell and the granddaughter of Darla Mueller.

Jessica Alonzo is the daughter of Maria and Diego Gormez.

Amadaleen Resendiz Cruz is the niece of Rosa Cruz and Rene Garcia.

Butler County falls to McLean County  

MORGANTOWN — Butler County produced multiple goals, but it wasn't enough as 3rd Region rival McLean County won 7-3 in a non-district girls' high school soccer match on Thursday, Sept. 19. 

Following the loss, Butler County dropped to 1-9-1. 

McClean County, which notched its first win in the 2024 girls' high school soccer season, improved to 1-8-2. 

Butler County hosted McLean County on its Senior Night. 

Landry Humphrey scored five goals and dealt out two assists to lead McLean County to the win.

Joining Humphrey in McLean County's offensive attack, Katie McCoy added two goals and two assists. 

Goalkeeper Emily LeBlanc paced McLean County defensively, holding Butler County to three goals and tallying three saves. 

Bailey Moore scored two goals to lead Butler County's effort. 

Accompanying Moore in Butler County's scoring column, Loree Davidson netted one goal. 

Defensively for Butler County, goalkeeper Larkin O'Connell recorded 14 saves.
