BCHS Girls Soccer: Butler County falls to Grayson County in district match

MORGANTOWN — Butler County was limited offensively as Grayson County pulled away to win 10-2 in an 11th District girls' soccer match on Thursday, Aug. 22.
As a result of the loss, Butler County dropped to 0-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the 11th District.
Grayson County improved to 3-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the 11th District after claiming the victory.
Elizabeth Haycraft scored three goals to lead Grayson County to the win.
Six different Grayson County players netted at least one goal. In addition to Haycraft, Addison Cain (two goals), Summer Flores (two goals), Abigail Pennington (one goal), Maryn Evans (one goal) and Kinley Cook (one goal) provided scoring for the Lady Cougars.
Defensively for Grayson County, goalkeeper Eva Pierce held Butler County to two goals. Pierce logged one save for the Lady Cougars.
Loree Davidson scored both of Butler County's goals in the 11th District match.
Defensively for Butler County, Larkin O'Connell and Emma House split time at goalkeeper. O'Connell recorded 10 saves. Aiding Butler County's defensive effort, House logged four saves.
