BCHS Football Blue/White Scrimmage

On Friday, the Butler County High School Football Team held their Blue/White Scrimmage.  This scrimmage was held in conjunction with the Relay for Life in order to raise awareness and hopefully help the Relay gain more income.  The past few weeks of spring practice for the football team have been very competitive.  The coaches have evaluated the players and are excited for what is possible this season.

Friday, the team was split into a blue and a white squad and scrimmaged.  After a very competitive game, the white team came away with a 12-6 victory.  When asked about the scrimmage, Head Coach Ryan Emmick said “I saw a lot of things offensively and defensively that excited me.  Our offensive and defensive lines have improved tremendously and we have good depth in the backfield.”

Though the Bears’ season does not start till this fall, the players have been putting in work for over a month now.  Emmick went on to say: “I am very proud of the progress we have made this off season.  The boys have worked hard and it is paying off.  We have a long way to go to become the football team I feel like we can, but this has been a great first step toward a great 2013 football season.”
