B.C.H.S. Class of 2018

One hundred fifty students graduated from Butler County High School on Friday, June 1st, at 7:30 p.m. Superintendent Scott Howard, members of the Butler County Board of Education, and members of Butler County High School’s Site Base Decision Making Council led the processional into the high school gymnasium.

The NJROTC Color Guard presented the colors, and the senior choir sang “My Old Kentucky Home” and “Alma Mater.” 

Principal Michael Gruber recognized Jasmine Creager as the Class of 2018 Salutatorian. Creager had a 3.9 grade point average. The following twenty students were recognized as the Class of 2018 Valedictorians with a 4.0 grade point average: Patton Allen, Jessica Camp, Kiana Coleman, Garrett Embry, Kane Gott, Brennan Grubb, Houston Hampton, Tori Hampton, Justin Hudnall, Clay Johnson, Cole Johnson, Evan Johnson, Madison Limlingan, Tori McKinney, Ellie Moore, Skyler Moore, Madelyn Murphy, Haley Penrod, Lucas Tichenor, and Bonnie West.

Tori Hampton gave the Valedictory address.

After the awards and special recognitions, the seniors had a short time of fellowship on the gym floor where they exchanged hugs and handshakes before receiving their diplomas.  High School Counselor Hanna Southerland presented the class, and Superintendent Scott Howard presented each senior with his/her diploma.
