BCHS Boys' Soccer: Logan County outlasts Butler County, 5-4

RUSSELLVILLE - Visiting Butler County fell short as Logan County held on to win 5-4 in a boys' high school soccer match on Thursday, Sept. 9. 

Andrew Katz scored three goals to lead Logan County to the win.

In addition to Katz's hat trick, Andrew Sweetsir and Daniels Dawson netted one goal apiece for the Cougars.

In addition to finding the net, Dawson delivered assists on two of Logan County's three goals. 

Goalkeeper Evan Dana paced Logan County defensively, recording eight saves while allowing four goals. 

Xavier Jones and Irvin Sanchez scored two goals apiece for Butler County in the setback. 

Goalkeepers Alex Elmore and Tyler Skipworth recorded four saves each for Butler County, leading the Bears' defensive effort. 

Rivals from neighboring regions, Butler County and Logan County met for the first time in the 2021 boys' high school soccer season.
