Bears defeat Gallatin County for fourth straight win
MORGANTOWN — Continuing to win, Butler County beat Gallatin County 9-1 on Tuesday, April 8.
Following the win, Butler County improved to 6-4.
The victory allowed Butler County to extend its win streak to four games.
The Bears scored first and never trailed.
Brayden Clark started on the mound for Butler County and pitched four and two-thirds innings. Clark recorded five strikeouts and earned the win.
Following Clark, Garrett Phelps and Sam Hyatt each pitched in relief for the Bears.
Butler County scored nine runs on nine hits. Phelps (one hit, one RBI), Justin Castlen (two hits, one RBI), Eli Oaks (one hit, one RBI), Duncan Tyree (one hit, one RBI), Mason West (one hit), Brycen Mode (one hit), Will Amos (one hit) and Colt
Akers (one hit) each produced offensively for the Bears.

Butler County 5, Hart County 3:
Butler County outlasted Hart County 5-3 in Munfordville on Monday, April 7.
Eli Oaks started on the mound for Butler County and earned the win. Oaks pitched six innings and recorded five strikeouts.
Another pitcher, Duncan Tyree, closed out the game on the mound for the Bears. Tyree pitched the final inning.
Butler County plated five runs on five hits. Tyree (one hit, two RBIs), Justin Castlen (two hits), Will Amos (one hit), Garrett Phelps (one hit) and Sam Hyatt (one RBI) each delivered offensively for the Bears.
