Four Butler County High School students have been recommended by faculty/staff members for August student of the month honors based on attendance, promptness to class, participation in class, grades and attitude.  These students are Maddy Murphy, Rachel Phelps, Abby Coomes and Dylan Craft.

Maddy Murphy is the 9th grade daughter of Marty and Lora Murphy.  She enjoys playing basketball for the Lady Bears as well as participating in Pep club and Club 14:23.  Her future plans are to attend college and become a psychological therapist for adolescence. 

Rachel Phelps is the 10th grade daughter of Cindy and Daren Phelps.  She enjoys anything involving music, kids and animals.  She also participates in choir.  Her future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in music education or neonatal nursing.

Abby Coomes is the 11th grade daughter of Lisa and Jeff Coomes.  She is the Vice-President of FBLA.  Her future plans are to attend college and major in elementary education.

Dylan Craft is the 12th grade son of Kim Craft.  He enjoys welding, working on cars, trading things, mud bugging, riding horses and hanging out with his family.  His future plans are to get a job and own a farm.
