BCHS April/May 2012 Students of the Month

Four Butler County High School students have been recommended by faculty/staff members for April/May student of the month honors based on attendance, promptness to class, participation in class, grades and attitude.  These students are Kelsey Jenkins, Trevor Jenkins, Kayla Spurgeon and Clay Embry. 

Kelsey Jenkins is the 9th grade daughter of Deanna and Chelcey Jenkins.  She participates in BCHS Golf and TSA.  Her future plans are to attend WKU.

Trevor Jenkins, no photo available, is the 10th grade son of Deanna and Chelcey Jenkins.  He participates in BCHS Basketball and Golf.  His future plans are to become an engineer.

Kayla Spurgeon is the 11th grade daughter of Tammy and Jimmy Spurgeon. She participates in Rocket team, Science club, FCCLA, HOSA and Beta club.  Her future plans are to attend Bowling Green Tech for two years and then transfer to WKU for four years to become a speech therapist. 

Clay Embry, pictured above, is the 12th grade son of Angie and Todd Embry.  He participates in BCHS Football, Track and FCCLA.  His future plans are to attend Campbellsville and play football.

Three wonderful students who are going to do great things in their life. Proud of all these guys, they are amazing and focused. It is hard to stay positive when there are so many negative influences around you. These students just prove that if you are dedicated and focused it can be done!!
