BC Softball's Lynsie Clark signs with St. Catharine College
Butler County senior infielder (3B/SS) Lynsie Clark signed a letter-of-intent last week to play softball at St. Catharine College near Bardstown. The signing ceremony, attended by teammates, coaches, family and friends, was held on Tuesday, May 6, at the BCHS Athletic Fieldhouse. St. Catharine Head Coach Holly Smith was present at the signing.
For her part, Clark said she was grateful to her family and friends for their support during her high school career. "I want to thank everyone for helping and supporting me over the years," said Clark. "Their support has helped to make this day possible."
Coach Smith was thrilled to have Lynsie become a St. Catharine Patriot. "We're excited to have Lynsie and believe St. Catharine will be a good fit for her," said Smith.
"Lynsie has been one of our core players over the past several years," said BCHS Head Coach John Embry. "She has been a fixture in our infield since the 8th grade and recorded impressive offensive and defensive stats over the years, despite losing most of her sophomore season due to injury. Lynsie is hard-nosed player with a tremendous work ethic and great attitude. Our loss at BCHS will definitely be a gain for St. Catharine.
