BC Sheriff's Department Makes Drug Arrest

Christopher A. Oaks

Christopher A. Oaks (DOB 3/3/93) of Shaffer Howard Drive, Morgantown, Kentucky, was arrested on November 11, 2011, by Butler County Sheriff Deputy Chris Reneer.  After receiving a complaint of possible drug activity at the residence.  Deputy Reneer and KSP Trooper Brian McKinney responded.  Oaks and three other individuals were at the residence.  After receiving permission to search the residence, a pat down of the subject was conducted and a white plastic container was found in his right front pocket.  Oaks stated he found it in the driveway, then stated the white substance inside was a crushed Lortab.  While searching the residence, two blue plastic containers were found in the love seat that Oaks claimed was his and contained potpourri.  Also a pill grinder, rolling papers, and marijuana were found in the freezer.

Oaks was arrested and charged with the following: prescription controlled substance not in original container, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 3rd degree, 1st offense, possession of synthetic cannabinoid and possession of drug paraphernalia buy/possess.  He was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
