BC Sheriff, MPD Make Drug Arrests

The Butler County Sheriff’s Department made arrests on a variety of offenses over the weekend. Misty Dawn Drake, 35, of Morgantown, was arrested on Thursday, January 26, by Sheriff Scottie Ward after a complaint that Drake was intoxicated and "out of control."

Drake is lodged in the Butler County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled prescription drug not in original container (first offense) and public intoxication on a controlled substance (not alcohol).


In other police news, Jimmy Norris, 36, was arrested Saturday, January 28, by Travis McIntosh of the Morgantown Police Department. Norris is charged with trafficking  in a controlled substance (first offense) methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor (first offense), unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.  All are felonies. He is lodged in the Butler County Jail.
