Chillin’ with Granny
I would like to nominate my granny, Kathleen Taylor, for grandparent of the year, Granny is absolutely superb!
She’s very nice to me and is always supportive.  I can talk to her about my life problems, but not to my parents.  She keeps the secrets I tell her because she is a wonderful confident.
My Granny is awesome! We have an amazing bond.  We play together like sisters.  I can do anything I want at her house as long as it’s not harmful to me or others. She helps me with whatever I need, such as homework and dealing with my two younger siblings.
Granny and I ride the tractor to go get bales of hay to feed the horses.  We both love riding it.  Most of the time Grandpa drives and Granny and I just ride.  When Grandpa hits bumps our feet come up and Granny tells him to slow down.  As they argue over how slow to go I just sit there and laugh at them.  Granny and I climb off to get the hay.  Then we get back on and go home.  When we get home, we open the gate and put the hay in the field.  We get back on and take the tractor back to the barn while the horses are eating.
We enjoy doing many special activities together.  One of our absolute favorites is going to horseshows; we get to talk about the pretty horses.  The horses do different tricks each time they come in the ring.  I wish my horses would do some of the things those horses do.  We laugh and giggle about what some of the horses at the show do.  I get to spend quality time with my granny, that’s why the shows are amazing.
Granny and I go down in the fields and ride bikes.  We love riding because it’s wonderful exercise for the both of us.  Granny laughs when I fall off.  I tell her to quit making jokes about it and then she chuckles so hard I begin laughing as well.
Thank you so much for considering my granny, Kathleen Taylor, for grandparent of the year.  She is generous, caring, and shows me love in many ways.  Because of this, we would do anything for each other.  I cherish her more than words could ever say.  I hope I’ve convinced you that my granny is worthy to receive such a prestigious award.
