BC Public Library's Captain Underpants Campaign

Kathy Lawrence, Butler County Public Library Children's Librarian, dropped off almost 200 pairs of underpants for Butler County Public school students today! The Butler County Public Library will still accept donations of new packages of underwear through January. The library will remove late fines on the donors account for donations made to the Captain Underpants Campaign!

The Captain Underpants Campaign, is a drive to collect underwear for the Family Resource Centers across the state. Clean, unused underwear is a high-demand item for Family Resource Centers, yet it is often an overlooked necessity when it comes to donations.

Libraries across the Commonwealth participate in the campaign. Popular children’s book character Captain Underpants is the face of the campaign. Captain Underpants is the creation of author/illustrator Dav Pilkey and the series has sold over 70 million copies worldwide.
