Do you know what “The Real Cost” is? Introduced in 2014, this is the FDA’s first tobacco prevention campaign geared towards youth between the ages of 11-19 to educate about the harmful effects of cigarette smoking. If your child falls into this age category, or if you would like more information, “The Real Cost” initiative can be found on the FDA website, facebook, twitter, and Instagram. They also have many informative commercials/videos on their YouTube channel to educate children about the dangers of smoking.
