How many people smoke cigarettes in the United States?  According to the CDC, in 2019, nearly 14 of every 100 U.S. adults aged 18 years or older currently smoked cigarettes.  This means that an estimated 34.1 million adults in the U.S. currently smoke cigarettes.  Current smoking has decreased from 20.9% in 2005 to 14% in 2019.  While this is great, there is still a lot of work to be done to make this number even better! It’s never too late to quit smoking.
