BC Bassmasters kicks off 2017 season.

Butler County Bassmasters held their first Open tournament for the 2017 season at Peabody WMA Saturday March the 18th. The air temperature was a little chilly but the lake conditions were good with 66 fish being brought to the weigh scale for a total weight of 126.50 pounds for the tournament, with all fish being released alive back into South and Island Lakes. 31 boats participated in the tournament with Ryan Coleman and John McEwen taking 1st place with 17.01 lbs. and Big Bass 6.85 lbs., 2nd Raymond Austin and Kenny Wood 13.32 lbs., 3rd John Keown 11.55 lbs., 4th Nathan Andersen and Brian Shepard 9.64 lbs. 

The next BCB event will be the first regular season tournament at Lake Malone in Dunmor, Saturday March the 25th. Tournament starts at 7:00 AM with weigh-in at 3:00 PM. Entry fee will be $40.00/boat.
