ARREST – DISTURBANCE AT DOLLAR GENERAL
On April 14, 2025, officers responded to Dollar General on South Main Street for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located Josh Annis, who had reportedly assaulted another male inside the store.
Witnesses confirmed the assault and visible injuries were observed on the victim. Annis became combative, refused commands, and had to be physically restrained. He resisted during transport and had to be carried to the cruiser by officers.
While at the jail, Annis admitted to consuming a large amount of methamphetamine and confirmed he intentionally assaulted the victim. He also made threatening statements toward officers during the incident. After medical clearance, he was lodged in the detention center.
Charges include Assault 4th, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Public Intoxication, and Terroristic Threatening 3rd.
