The family of Richard and Brenda (Moore) Anthony are pleased to announce and celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary! Richard (from Montpelier, Idaho) and Brenda (from Morgantown, Kentucky) met at Brigham Young University. They were married in the Logan Temple on Dec. 18, 1964. They are blessed with six children and their spouses: Jennifer and Trent Aiken (Tooele), Jamie Mathews (Fruit Heights), Allison and Richard Boman (Lewiston), David and Jenni Anthony (Denver), April and Taylor Critchfield (Salt Lake City/Holladay), and Daniel and Lainey Anthony (North Logan). Richard and Brenda’s great treasures are their 16 grandchildren ranging from ages 18 years to 5 months.

They have lived in Kentucky, Idaho, Tennessee and Utah. They currently reside in North Logan where they have lived for the past 37 years. Richard worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church Education System. He was the Area Director for Kentucky and Tennessee for eight years and an instructor at the Logan Institute for 27 years. Brenda was a homemaker raising their six children, and later became a successful real estate agent. She was honored by American Mothers as the Utah Mother of the Year and remains active in community service working with the Celebrate America Show: In The Miller Mood, which she founded in 1999. They have both served, and continue to serve, in many ward and stake callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As their children, we are so proud of them and thankful to them for demonstrating how to succeed in marriage, relationships, parenting, and life. We warmly invite Mom and Dad’s friends to come have cake and visit at the open house from 2-3 p.m. Dec. 13, at the Bluebird Restaurant in Logan (the same place their wedding dinner was held 50 years ago).
