Andy Sullivan: Against the Grain
As I creep closer towards #41(the age, not the Dave Matthews Band song), I’ve noticed more than a few differences. For instance, did you know LMR stands for like my recent? I didn’t before but I do now. I had to look it up. It’s fine because I enjoy researching.
The next sign is a little more personal. No, I’m not going to get R-rated on here. I’m talking about needing bifocals. I thought it was a bigger deal until I realized “hey, I can see those words on that page a lot better”. That was the end of that insecurity.
It’s well-documented that I run a lot. It used to just take me a few minutes to cool down from an hour run on the treadmil. Now it’s closer to 15-20 minutes. Okay, it can occasionally be closer to a half hour.
When you sleep wrong when you’re younger, your back might be messed up for a few minutes but, like an accordion, you’ll eventually unfold. If you sleep wrong in your late 30’s and on, however, there’s a good likelihood that you’re going to be messed up for at least a day, maybe more.
I wonder what else I’ll discover as I move towards 41? I’ll let you know in a few months.
