Up, Up and Away

Up, Up, and Away was the theme on Saturday at the Charles Black City Park as Morgantown Care and Rehabilition residents, Louella Deweese, Reajean Grubb, Annita Joy Hammers, Ruth Cowan, Myrtle Givens, Dimple Daughtery, Randy Felty, Gail Childress, Bonnie McKinney, James Dockery, and Linda Gray’s dreams came true with a hot air balloon ride.

Louella Deweese was the first one up and seemed to enjoy the ride. When asked what she thought about the hot air balloon ride she said, “It was a short ride, but fun.”

Morgantown’s Quality of Life department organized the hot air balloon rides with the help of the Coleman Brothers, Parkway Cars & Tires, Morgantown Prescription Center, Lifeline Home Health, Hocker Insurance, Double K Amusements, Redeemed, and Sno Shack.
The day included a picnic for the community as well as live music and entertainment by Redeemed.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our Elders to grow in their life experiences. We are so blessed to have the support of the Butler County community and thank you to all that came out and joined us,” said Logan Midkiff, Administrator at Morgantown Care & Rehab.
