Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Meets

The Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International met Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Guthrie, KY for their annual holiday bazaar.  Twenty seven members and guests enjoyed a delicious brunch prepared by the ladies of the Robert Penn Warren Society. After the brunch the ladies moved into the chapel for their business meeting and their initiation ceremony. New members Lynda O’Driscoll, teacher at Butler County Learning Center, Karen Grosnik, teacher at Logan County’s Stevenson Elementary were welcomed into the society along with honorary member Joyce Porter Hammers, Butler County artist. After the meeting some members of the group toured the Poet Laureate, Robert Penn Warren’s boyhood home in Guthrie.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an organization of key women educators with members throughout the world. If any woman in the education field is interested in joining the group please contact Alpha Epsilon President Gail Gaddie at Morgantown Elementary School as they are always looking for new members. They meet four times a year at various locations in Butler, Logan or Todd counties.
