9/11 Remembered

Butler County High School NJROTC

The Butler County Area Technology Center's Business classes held a 9/11 remembrance service.  Philip Stagner, the business instructor, organized the event to bring the community together and provide students an opportunity to honor the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.

Several students, community members, first responders, volunteer firemen, elected officials, and law enforcement officers were in attendance.

Students Kari McClelland, Jessica Bruner, Dixie Garnier, and Aubrey Hall recounted what happened with the four planes, the destruction they caused, and the bravery displayed by passengers of flight 93.

"We can never bring them back. We can honor those who were lost, vow to be watchful, and to remember, and never let it happen again," said Stagner.

The Butler County High School NJROTC presented the colors.  Student Randi Cline led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the playing of "Taps" by veteran Doug Odle.
