5th Grade Mural @North Butler

A large and vibrant mural was created in the main hall of North Butler Elementary by the fifth grade students. The three week mural creation process was guided by artist Jesse Ray Sims, of Cave City, and art teacher Kassie Decker.

“This is our sixth mural guided by Jesse Sims at North Butler,” said Decker. This mural features the arts."

Students learned to draw grids on the wall and transfer images using scale. Students learned to mix paint colors, apply base coats of paint, and add detailed designs. On Monday afternoon students who worked on the mural signed their name on sections of the mural.
