428 enrollments in Dual Credit Classes at BCHS

Butler County Public Schools offers many learning opportunities to students - one of the most effective is its dual credit partnership with Western Kentucky University, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College and Murray State University.  Opportunities such as dual credit enable them to enroll in college classes before they graduate from high school.  Research indicates that students who complete an early postsecondary opportunity in high school are more likely to enroll in college, have a higher grade point average once in college, and graduate with a degree.

Butler County Public Schools offer fifteen dual credit courses for students to choose from to enroll.  Butler County High School currently has 428 enrollments in various dual credit college classes.

“It was awesome to present dual credit scholarships to these great students.  Butler County Public Schools wants to thank United Way of Southern Kentucky and the Delta Faucet Company of Morgantown, Kentucky for making these scholarships possible for our students," said Butler County Schools' Superintendent Scott Howard.  "We also appreciate all of the hard work of our counselors, teachers, and administrators at Butler County High School for working with each individual student as they prepare students for college, career and life.  Making sure all of our students are life-ready is a top priority at Butler County Public Schools.”
