The Butler County Child Development classes will conduct a Playschool for preschool children.  The days will be Tuesdays for 2 ½ and 3 year-olds, Wednesdays for 4 year-olds and Fridays for 5 year-olds; however, we are willing to work with parents on scheduling.  Children who are presently enrolled in kindergarten are not eligible to attend.  All children must be potty-trained.

If you wish to submit your child’s name, please email Mrs. Embry at [email protected] or call 526-2204 (BCHS) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Email is preferred.  The deadline for enrolling children in Playschool is Friday, March 22.

Children will receive invitations in the mail during the week of Spring Break.  Playschool will begin April 10, 12 or 16 depending upon the age of the child and will continue through four weeks with a graduation at the end of the session. Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 10 during the morning.

All children who wish to attend must have the names submitted this year. A child who attended Playschool last year will not automatically be placed on the list.

The fee for attending will be $20 per child; this includes lunch and materials for four sessions and a t-shirt.   Playschool will be conducted from 9:35 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. each day.  Any questions about this program may be directed to Kimberlea Embry, Child Development Teacher at BCHS.
