300th Win for Coach John Embry

With the win, Monday night, April 24, Butler County Head Softball Coach John Embry reached a milestone in his career - his 300th win. The win places him in the top 20 coaches in the state.
Coach Embry, who is in his 16th season, all at Butler County, began coaching in 2002.


During that time:
 

- Coach Embry's teams have won two 12th District Championships; has two Third Region Runner-up finishes in 2009-2010.  The 2010 team finished with a 36-5 record and were ranked 11th in the final state poll and took #3 Owensboro Catholic to a tie in extra innings in the regional championship. Coach Embry was named the 3rd Region Coach of the Year in 2010. Coach Embry has been selected to Coach the West All-Star Team four times and the KY-TN All Stars once. He will be coaching the West Seniors this year where he will be officially inducted into the KY Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

 - Coach Embry has had 4 players selected to play in the East/West All-Stars - CheyAnne Gaskey, Madeline Drake, Lynsie Clark, and Madison Clark.
 - Coach Embry has coached three All-State players CheyAnne Gaskey, Amy Rogers, and Madison Clark.
 - Coach Embry has had winning seasons every year beginning in 2008, winning at least 18 games each season. Coach Embry is averaging 19.35 wins per year in his career as Butler County Softball Coach. Assistant coaches include Diane Dyer 16 years, Jack Clark 9th season, and Lexie Smith 2nd season.
