2nd District VFD's Family Fun Day nets $6900

The 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department held their Annual Family Fun Day on Saturday featuring several new events. According to event organizers as of Monday the event raised an estimated $6900 for the fire department.

The Dance Academy performed, there was an Antique Tractor and Car Show, costumes contest, pumpkin decorating, live auction, cow plop, raffles, door prizes, and a pie in the face contest. John King and the Mud River Revival performed in the afternoon. Due to weather Air Evac could not make the trip, but firemen did put on a safety demonstration.

For the first time this year the Family Fun Day included a beauty pageant. Winners were:

7-12 months : First Runner-up Roslynn Cox, daughter of Ashley and Ronald Cox of Clarksville, TN, and Winner Emma Liberty King, daughter of James and Autumn King of Morgantown

13-23 months: Winner Aubree Grace Morgan, daughter of Emily Vincent and Chris Morgan of Rochester

2-3 year olds: First Runner-up Chaney Hunt, daughter of Michael and Heather Hunt of Morgantown and Winner Torah Rau, daughter of Jim and Phyllis Rau of Clarksville, TN

4-9 Year Olds:First Runner-up Addison Tyree, daughter of Nick and Emily Tyree of Russellville and Winner Emily Grace Cunningham, daughter of Kim and Robert Cunningham of Morgantown

10-12 Year Olds: Third Runner-up Taylor Paige Ferrell, daughter of Brian and Teresa Ferrell of Morgantown, Second Runner-up Mackenzie Tyree, daughter of Nick and Emily Tyree of Russellville, First Runner-Up Bayhonna Danielle King, daughter of Clifford and Tiffany King of Morgantown, and Winner Alexus Carman , daughter of Derek Carman of Morgantown

13-15 Year Olds: Winner Kelsie Ann Howard, daughter of Anna Howard and John Howard of Morgantown
