2nd District VFD Annual Fundraiser
The 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department held their annual fund raiser on Saturday. Activities started around 10:00am and concluded with Bruce White auctioning cakes, pies, pictures, mums, and a variety of items.
Antique Tractors and a parade kicked off the fun. Randy Grubb and Paul King won the tractor awards.
Kim Cunningham walked away with $100 in the Cow Plop contest. Several waited and watched for the cow to relief itself.
The 2nd District Firemen and the Butler County Rescue Squad gave a demonstration with the Jaws of Life. The Air Evac Crew landed on site allowing onlookers a glimpse inside the helicopter.
Children had a day of fun from coloring, games, inflatables, Shrine clowns, and a cup cake decorating contest.
The ladies served up BBQ plates and hotdogs with homemade desserts.
Everyone enjoyed the bluegrass music by the Hays Brothers and David Dye.
Bruce White auctioned cakes, pies, and other items to the crowd on hand. The event grows each year and provides a day of fun for the community and county.
