Butler County Bassmasters and Dr. Ryan Jackson of Jackson Chiropractic will be hosting the 2nd Annual Green River Catfish Festival Open Bass Tournament on June 25th.  The tournament will take place at the Morgantown boat ramp on Green River. This is the second year for this event and once again the prize for the first place team will be $1,000 guaranteed.  This year Cabela’s, Interceptor Bait Co., and others will be setting up booths at the weigh-in.  The Butler County Young Farmers Association will be selling pork burgers at the weigh-in to help raise money for their organization.  The Young Farmers will also be raffling off a Cabela’s Verano bait casting reel.  Butler County Bassmasters will be giving away over $600 in door prize merchandise to lucky winners who enter the tournament.  BCB will even have small fishing gifts for kids showing up.  Even if you don’t fish, the weigh-in will be a lot of fun for everybody, so come on down to the river and watch the weigh-in, get some food from the Young Farmers, and visit with the anglers and sponsors.     
    Entry forms are available at www.butlercountybassmasters.webs.com.  Registration will begin at 4:30am at the Morgantown boat ramp and end at 5:40am.  Take off position determined by order entry is received.  Once the team is registered, live wells will be checked and the boat will immediately be launched in the river.  BCB members will be directing parking to allow space for weigh-in activities. Pre-tournament meeting will begin at 5:45am with at least one member of each team present.  Take off will be at 6:00am with an afternoon check-in time of 2:00pm.  Weigh-in to begin shortly after check-in.  Rules and regulations are posted on the entry forms on the BCB website.
