2025 Butler County Farm Bureau Annual Membership Meeting
On Tuesday, September 9, the 87th Butler County Farm Bureau annual membership meeting was held at the Butler County Extension Office.
President Greg Drake II called the meeting to order and gave introductions. He introduced guests: Clark Arnold, Field Representative for Senator Rand Paul; Kenny Swift, Butler County PVA; Mark Lord, Congressman Brett Guthrie’s office; Jeff Rice, Daviess County Farm Bureau director and past president of Daviess County Farm Bureau; Dillon Bryant, 5th District Magistrate and Butler County Farm Bureau Director; District 3 Farm Bureau State Director Ray Allen Mackie; Stacy Sipes, area Farm Bureau program director; Larry Thomas, Kentucky Farm Bureau State Director; Russell Givens, Morgantown City Council and Butler County Farm Bureau Director; Diane Dyer, Beech Tree News; Tim Flener, Butler County Judge/Executive; John Embry, Beech Tree News; and Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson.
Next for the evening were the awards.

The Outstanding Young Farm Family went to Caleb and Amelia Smithson.
The Distinguished Service to Butler County Farm Bureau award was presented to Beech Tree News and WLBQ, recognizing their significant contributions. John Embry and Diane Dyer accepted the award on behalf of their organizations.

Gregory Drake II won the Distinguished Service to Butler County Agriculture award.

Rice Farms was the recipient of the Legacy Farm Family award.
Following the awards, the business session commenced, discussing important matters for our community. Door prizes were also distributed, adding a touch of excitement to the evening. King's BBQ catered the meeting.
