2020 Mallory Jo Franzell Memorial Scholarship awarded to Kaylee Wallace

The BCHS Graduating Class of 2020, along with high school seniors across the country, has undoubtedly come to know great disappointment during the Covid-19 pandemic, as they sacrifice their traditional graduation ceremonies. But one senior will graduate with a head start on her college education expenses.

Kaylee Wallace is the recipient of the Mallory Jo Franzell Memorial Scholarship for 2020. The 18-year-old daughter of Dennis Wallace of Morgantown, is a member of BCHS Archery, BCHS Band, Colorguard, Beta Club, JROTC, and the Student Council. She plans to attend Western KY University in the fall and plans to major in Psychological Science. She will receive $800 from this year's scholarship.

The Mallory Jo Franzell Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2019. Mallory was a 2012 graduate of BCHS and the daughter of Michelle Franzell and Joey and Felicia Franzell, of Morgantown. Her family and friends host a variety of fundraising events each school year to benefit the scholarship fund in her memory.
