2019 County Agricultural Investment Program accepting applications

The application period for the County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) will begin on Thursday, August 15th and end on Monday, September 16th.  There are a wide variety of items and practices eligible for cost share – whether you have an interest in crops, livestock, or more diverse operations such as honey bees or horticulture/greenhouse crops. If you have a question about what is eligible to cost share, all the information is on our website or feel free to contact the Conservation District office. We will be able to accept eligible receipts back to December 30, 2018 or later if you have already completed a practice and are approved. Cost share is 50% of your eligible receipts with $2000 being the most that you can receive.  All approved applicants will be required to attend one educational event such as, but not limited to, the County Ag Field Day, which will be on September 5th at 4pm at Tucker Farm (near the Jetson community).

As a reminder NO CASH PURCHASES are allowed to be submitted for cost share.  This was a change implemented in 2017 by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board and is stated in 2019 CAIP Producer Guidelines.

More information on the CAIP program may be found on our website here: http://butlercountyconservationdistrict.weebly.com/caip.html
