2019 Butler County Field Day Set for Sept 5 – Everyone Welcomed

The 2019 Butler County Field Day will truly offer something for everyone in the family.  We will have demonstrations about grazing warm season annuals, a winter hay feeding structure, and a beef cattle working facility.  Other topics that will be discussed include:  KY Ag. Water Quality Plans, CAIP cost share program update, using chicken litter for fertility in forage production, a Farm Service Agency program update, discussion of the 2020 Stockman’s Association livestock sale, and more.

There will be trade show booths from several organizations including the Extension Nutrition Education program.

We will finish the afternoon with a delicious meal prepared by the Butler County 4-H program.  There is no cost to attend the field day.  It is organized by the Extension Service and supported by many local agriculture organizations.  The program is being held at the Richard and Jennifer Tucker Farm in Jetson, KY.  Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. and the program starts at 4:00 p.m.
