Maddie McKinney and Connor Brown were crowned 2017 Bearfest queen and king at the boy/girl double header against Grayson County.  Maddie is the daughter of Gennie and Randall McKinney of Quality. Connor is the son of Deanna Embry of Morgantown.

 Butler County’s Crown Bearer and Escort for this year are Little Miss Gracie Allise Wright and Master Deacon Jack Phelps.

Deacon is the 5-year-old son of Rachel and Bryan Phelps of Morgantown. He is a kindergarten student in Mrs. Rich’s class at Morgantown Elementary. He is the grandson of Debi and Kevin Phelps of Morgantown and Jewel and Patricia Williams of Cromwell.

Gracie is the 7-year-old daughter of Ashley Martin of Calhoun and Joey Wright of Rochester. She is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Sherry Clark’s class at Morgantown Elementary. She is the granddaughter of Joyce and Brenda Kirby of Morgantown and Jack and Maxine Wright of Russellville.

Returning from last year is the 2016 Bearfest Queen and King: Ms. Callie Cardwell & Mr. Nolan Johnson.

Callie is the daughter of Tina and Donald Cardwell of Jetson. She is currently studying at Western Kentucky University, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. She is also a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.

Nolan is the son of Michaelle and Dan Johnson of Morgantown. He is currently studying at Western Kentucky University, pursing a degree in Exercise Science. He is also working at the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green.
