2016 Morgantown-Butler Co. Chamber Annual Awards Dinner

Chad Johnson presents Rita and Greg Drake with Outstanding Agriculture Business Award.

The 2016 Annual Awards Dinner of the Morgantown-ButlerCounty Chamber of Commerce was held on Tuesday night at the Butler County Educational Complex.
President James Runion welcomed everyone, Butler County Judge Executive David Fields gave the blessing, and Green River Caterers provided the meal.  Next, was the presentation of awards.

Outstanding Industrial Business of the Year: Mid-Park SST of Morgantown

Judge Fields and Rob Barnett
Special guest speaker was Rob Barnett of the Bowling Green Regional Airport. 
"We worked for eight years to get and regional airport up and running," said Barnett. 
Contour Airlines has three planes (29 passengers) in Bowling Green that offers 12 round trips to Altana per week and two trips per week to Destin, Florida.  The Florida trips are seasonal and will end October 30 but resume in March.  
The airport was built in 1937, sets on 566 acres, and houses planes ranging in value from $14,00 to $34 million. 

In closing, Runion thanked the outgoing Chamber Board members  Chad Johnson, Roger Givens, Amanda Neighbors and Shirley Allen.  The new board includes Chad Bratcher, Dustin Embry, Robin Johnson, Dana Phelps, Deana Embry and Giles Taylor.
