2013 Quality Cruise-in

On Saturday, June 22, quite a few residents of Quality and surrounding areas gathered for the annual cruise-in. Proceeds go to December’s Quality Christmas Parade, among other functions that help the community. There was quite a great turnout for such a hot summer day, 95 entrants (including cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors).

Back Porch Grillin’ from Lewisburg, KY had a mobile on location cooking and selling hot dogs, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, pork chop burgers, chips and drinks. A real sense of community could be felt as neighbors and friends took time to sit and visit. One gentleman said it was the first time he had been in that part of the county in 20 years.

“That’s great that there was such a huge turnout, especially given that the temperature was in the 90’s during the entire event, 9 am-3 pm,” said one of the organizers of the event.

Vietnam Veteran Jimmy Rafferty had a display truck painted red, white and blue that was a crowd pleaser. Between the bouncy house, Shrine clowns, cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles, music and of course the food, there was something for everyone at this annual event.
