“Yarn Bombing” Community Art Project at BC Library

The Butler County Public Library has been yarn bombed.

What is yarn bombing?  It is a type of fiber art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fiber. Director Kenna Martin says “ Yarn bombing is a way to create and promote hand made products and fiber art and to collaborate with other crafters and artists to temporarily brighten and beautify the environment or landscape.”

Knitted and crocheted pieces contributed by The Butler County Knitting and Crochet Club and assembled by library staff will decorate the library grounds and interior through the month of October.

If you are interested in learning how to knit or crochet, or if you just want to join the club they meet everyMonday @ 11 a.m. at the Butler County Public Library.
