How much more economically competitive and free – including from special interests – might Kentuckians be if government’s priority was sound policy rather than divisive politics?

I was watching an episode of Friends the other day (one of my comfort shows-Seinfeld being the other).  It was one where Rachel is pregnant with Ross’ baby and living with Joey.  The baby kicked and Ross missed it.  Ross later said “I don’t want to miss anything else.  Page me”.  That got me wondering when the episode originally aired.  It was January 31, 2002.  “Pagers were still in fashion in 2022”? I asked myself.  When did they disappear altogether?

As winter nears its end, my spring to-do list for the house and yard grows. I want to complete most of these tasks by the end of May or early June – before the daily temperatures soar. Stephen Covey advised: “Goals are pure fantasy unless you have a specific plan to achieve them.” So, throughout the next 15 weeks, I have written specific maintenance, minor renovation, and cleaning tasks on my calendar.

A look into the bills passed on the House floor last week

Before leaving Frankfort this past weekend, members of the House welcomed Representative Bi-khim Hsaio, Taiwan’s Representative to the United States. As Taiwan’s highest-ranking diplomat to the United States, she delivered an incredible message of hope for democracy and reminded us of the importance of our trade relationship. It was a particularly meaningful message in our world today.

I have not had a sore throat of this magnitude since I was a senior in high school, fifty years ago this spring.
