Butler County High School swimmers had a great weekend. They were competing against 19 counties in the region, including Bowling Green and Owensboro, every team member qualified in preliminary to return for the finals either in a relay or individually.

FRANKLIN - Butler County suffered its second straight loss on the road as host Franklin-Simpson held on to win 39-35 in a non-district boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

MORGANTOWN - Butler County returned to the win column on Friday (Feb. 1), defeating visiting Cumberland 82-68 in a non-district girls' high school basketball game.

The Butler County High School Swim team will be competing in the KHSAA Region 2 Swim Meet on February 8th & 9th.  BCHS Swim team head coach is Brandie Smith.

Kory Johnson, head football coach at Butler County Middle School

A former BCHS and BCMS football player has been hired to lead the middle school football program. Kory Johnson was officially hired last week as head football coach at Butler County Middle School.

 The High School basketball seasons are winding down with only three weeks of games left. 12th District basketball  tournament play begins Monday, Feb. 18th. Host school this year will be  Edmonson County High School for both the Boys/Girls tournament.
