Ecc. 3, tells us there is a time to laugh- that’s from the Bible you know. It also tells us there is a time to morn. We didn’t morn, however we heard plenty of it on the beginning- boring speakers, mournful singing, in fact a whole hatful of mournfulness.

“One” is an interesting word. “One” stands for unity and wholeness. It tells us how many churches Christ established (Matt. 16:18). “One” is what Christ prayed that His disciples would be (Jn. 17:21). It also represents the number of times we get to live in this world!

I recently overheard a discussion about how Christmas is no longer treated as a sacred day or as respectfully as it once was. As the discussion progressed, I silently agreed with much that was said. Our attitudes toward Christmas have changed.
