Local travel baseball team holding tryouts

Open try-outs will be held for the Green River Mud Cats 11U travel baseball team on Saturday, August 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Charles Black Park in Morgantown. The Mud Cats will be coached by Mark Norris and Rodney McMillin.

"We are excited to begin and build a program that teaches not only baseball but integrity, discipline, the rewards of hard work and that builds character," said Coach Norris. "We are privileged to have such talented and skilled players in the Green River area. Because of those players that have such talent and skill, we are hoping to forward the opportunity of improving and progressing before, during, and after league ball," added Norris.

According to Norris, the Mud Cats support all recreational programs and encourage involvement in those programs

There is no cost or registration for try-outs.
