Dylan Havens signs with Berea College

On Thursday afternoon Dylan Havens signed his letter of intent to attend Berea College. Dylan will be a member of the Track and Field team and a member of the choir at Berea.

"Dylan is the type of young man you want to build a team around.  He is a high character young man who takes care to do even the little things right.  Dylan for the past four years has been an integral part of our football and track teams.  He has the ability to do multiple things on the football field and on the track and this has led to success in both arenas for him.  Dylan has exhibited the hard work and effort it takes to be a winner, a trait that will forever lead him to success in whatever he chooses to do," said Coach Ryan Emmick, BCHS Athletic Director and Football Coach.

Dylan gave a very heart-felt thank you to everybody from his family, teammates, coaches, teachers, and friends that have helped him to achieve his goals.

Dylan was a three year starter for the Butler County High School football team on offense and defense as wide receiver and DB.  He has ran track for 4 years in multiple events. He had offers from other schools to play football, but Berea's financial package allows Dylan to attend school paying very little if anything out of pocket according to Coach Emmick.

Dylan is the son of Tabby and Lloyd Havens.
